NoteB* On 11 September 1802, Patty Curtis was accepted by experience as a member of the Padgett's Creek Baptist Church and Union County Baptist Association. Moses apparently did not join the church, based on the absence of his name from these and later minutes.8 
Land Sale* On 19 October 1803 Moses Curtis and Patsey (Patty) (?) sold land at Union, South Carolina, to Thomas Hays for $200, described as 125 acres, lying on Fairforest Creek, adjacent to George Harlan, conveyed to him by James Curtis, witnessed by John Curtis, proven in court on 2 April 1805.9
