Mrs. Rachel Lucinda Curtis, 79, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. D.W. Sisson, of 1 Cherokee Street, Monday afternoon at 4:35 o'clock. Surviving her are three daughters, Sally Pierce of Hogansville, Ga., Mrs. Carrie White and Mrs. D.W. Sisson of Dalton; five sons, Frank, Fkloyd, James, Elic and Henry Curtis; five brothers; Joe, Tom, Webb, Henry and John Edwards; three sisters, Mrs. Agnus Turner, MMrs. Nancy Washum and Mrs. Susan Teems; fifty-six grandchildren; one great grandchild and one great great grandchild. Funeral services were held from the home Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock. Rev. Gower Latimer, of Dalton, officiated. Burial was made in the Hamilton cemetery with Kenemer Bros. in charge.2
