Burial was to be in Grants Cemetery. Curtis died Saturday night while he and his wife Myra were visiting friends in Tucson, Arizona. He was born Dec. 23, 1929, in Caldwell County, a son of the late Adam J. and Cora B. Curtis. He was preceded in death by two sisters and three brothers. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Johnny Curtis of Hobbs, N.M., Rodney Dale Curtis of the U.S. Navy and Marty Curtis of Portales, N.M; one daughter, Darlene Lowe of Hobbs, N.M; six grandchildren; one great grandchild and one sister, Oneda Annas of Hudson, N.C.2
