TOMPKINSVILLE — Clyde Curtis, 87, of Lebanon, Tenn., formerly of Monroe County, died Sept. 8, 2006, at a Lebanon nursing home. The Monroe County native was a restaurant owner and served in the Army during World War II. He was a member of Imanual Baptist Church. He was a son of the late Vester Curtis and Tennessee Ray Curtis, and husband of the late Marinda Elsie Walker Curtis. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Curtis and Tommy “J.V.” Curtis; and a sister, Annie R. Botts.Funeral is at 11 a.m. Monday at Strode Funeral Home, with burial in Gamaliel Cemetery. Visitation is from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the American Cancer Society, c/o Susan Clarkson, 2035 Old Mulkey Road, Tompkinsville, KY 42167. Survivors include a daughter, Linda Gayle and her husband, Frankie Wilmoth, of Gallatin, Tenn; a brother, Jesse Curtis of Greenfield, Ind; a sister, Nancy Tinnel of Fortville, Ind; and a grandchild, Christopher Eric Wilmoth of Gallatin.3
