Ruth was a charter member of Pleasant View Baptist Church and retired from Huffman Hosiery. She is survived by her husband, Luther Roy Curtis, of the home; a daughter, Gloria Curtis Jernigan and her husband, James David, of Hudson; a granddaughter, Vicki Elizabeth Haigler and her husband, David, of Hudson; a nephew, Larry Small of Glen Alpine; and a niece, Angela Small Lail of Glen Alpine. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Jerry Allen Curtis; and a brother, David Nelson Small. The funeral will be held at noon Thursday in the Colonial Chapel of Sossoman Funeral Home with the Rev. Burt Wilbur officiating. Burial will follow in Burke Memorial Park.1
