Funeral services were conducted Sunday, March 14 at the Johnson Funeral Home in Berkeley Springs by Hennis Fox, with burial in Greenway Cemetery.⁵

He was retired from the Western Union as a cable foreman and was currently employed at the Country Inn. He was a veteran of World War II, having served in the U.S. Navy.

Fortini, Winter Springs, Fla; one son, Steve A. Lineweaver, upper Marlboro, Md; one sister, Velda Spielman, Berkeley Springs; one brother, Paul K. Lineweaver, Chambersburg, Pa; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, January 6, at the Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, with the Rev. Donna Martin officiating. Surviving is his wife, Virginia (Miller) Fredman; two daughters, Virginia Ann Pugh of Gore, Va., and Linda Lindamood of Whitacre, Va; one son, Harold G. Fredman of Whitacre, Va; one sister, Ola Lutman of East Strasburg, Pa; and four grandchildren. Services were held Friday, June 21, at 2 p.m. at the Timber Ridge Pentecostal Church near Cross Junction, Va., with the Rev. Leonard Messick officiating. Burial was in Timber Ridge Primative Baptist Cemetery near Cross Junction. Griffin Funeral Home, Capon Bridge, was in charge of arrangements.³

Fredman of Whitacre, Va; nine grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services were held Saturday, January 6 at 11:00 a.m. in the Lanterman & Allen Funeral Home, 27 Washington Street, East Stroudsburg, Pa., with the Rev. Thomas Richards officiating. Burial was in the Evergreen Hill Memorial Garden, East Stroudsburg.⁴

He is survived by his wife, the former Iva Freedman, at the home; three daughters, Mrs. Susan Young, Miss Vivian Yost, and Mrs. Esta Lee Fox, all of Berkeley Springs; three sisters, Mrs. Eva Gano, Mrs. Margaret McCumbee, both of Berkeley Springs; and Mrs. Junie McCumbee, Cumberland, Md; nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren. Services were conducted Sunday, November 15, at the Alpine Methodist Church. Burial was in the church cemetery. Arrangements were made by Hunter Funeral Home.¹

Mrs. Ida May Virginia Waugh, 35, wife of Romanus Waugh, died Thursday night, June 29, in City Hospital, Martinsburg, where she had been a patient for seven weeks.
Surviving are her husband, seven children, Madeline, Loretta, Thomas, Dona Jean, Richard, Rita Lee and Le Esta, all at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. J.B. Harden, four brothers, Wilbur, Harry, Albert and Emory Harden and two sisters, Mrs. Goldie Gallion and Mrs. Lizzie Cain, all of the county. Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the Evangelical Church with the Rev. E.D. Spencer, the pastor, officiating. Burial was in Greenway cemetery.⁶

Mrs. Flora Fisher, Philadelphia, Pa; Mrs. Fredda Dawson, Morgantown, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Betty Huff, Washington, D.C., Mrs. Violet Stotler, Martinsburg; and Mrs. June Navaregeis, Baltimore and 25 grandchildren. Services were held Friday, June 5, at the Francis Asbury United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs, conducted by Rev. Louis Emerick. Interment was in Greenway Cemetery with military graveside rites. Arrangements were made by Hunter Funeral Home.^8,9
