Lloyd Edward Ranney, 73, 703 W. Helen St., Auburn, died Friday at 10:21 a.m. at Betz Hursing Home. Mr. Ranney was born April 27, 1907, in Auburn, the son of James and Mary (Alvina) Ranney. He was a retired emplyee of the City of Auburn. He was married in 1955 to Goldie Reeves, who survives. Also surviving are one daughter, Delores Harris, Auburn; one son, Donard Ranney, Miami, FLA; one sister, Ismay Sands, Texas; and one grandson. Three brothers and one sister preceded Mr. Ranney in death. Funeral services will be Monday at 11 a.m at the Bale Funeral Home, the Rev. Carl Greek, pastor of the Auburn Nazarene Church. officiating. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the fruneral hme after 7 p.m. tonight.

Ronald Dale Ranney (November 20, 1911 – October 24, 1978) Ronald Dale Ranney, 66, of Route 4, Fremont, died Tuesday, October 24, at 11:30 p.m. in Cameron Memorial Community Hospital, Angola. He had been ill one week and hospitalized since October 18. Ranney was a retired employee of Cooper Industrial Products, Auburn, where he worked for 13 years. A native of Auburn, Ranney was born November 20, 1911, to James E. and Mary (Thompson) Ranney. He married Vera Haywood on March 17, 1943. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Ronald Ranney, of Texas, and James Ranney, of Ashley; a daughter, Mrs. Richard (Christie) Helman, of Garrett; one stepson, David Porter, of Butler; a stepdaughter, Mrs. Dale (Ruth Ann) Weilbaker, of Auburn; one brother, Lloyd Ranney, Auburn; a sister, Ismay Sands, of Texas; and 14 grandchildren. Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Friday, October 27, in the Bale Funeral Home, Auburn, with Reverend Darold Beck, pastor of the Angola Assembly of God, officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Chapel Cemetery, De Kalb County.6
