Ira Chester BROWN, 26, a former Rochester resident who lived in Lakeland, Fla., the past year, was killed in an accident near Lakeland about 8 a.m. today. Brown, who was driving a semi-truck rig belonging to the Mason Contract Haulers of Lakeland, where he was employed, reportedly ran into the rear of another truck. Mr. Brown was born Oct. 17, 1933, near Kokomo, and lived in Rochester about 18 years. he was the son of Robert and Grace GARNER BROWN. His father preceded him in death about 14 years ago. He formerly was married to Mary Jo CHALK of Rochester. He served with the U.S. Army two year, 18 months in Okinawa. He was a member of the Church of God and the Eagles lodge of Rochester. Surviving are the mother, 118 West 12th street; two sisters, Mrs. George (Dorothy) BIXLER, Athens; Miss Grace Marie BROWN, at home; five brothers, George [BROWN], Rochester; Joseph [BROWN], Kokomo; Kenneth [BROWN], at home; John [BROWN], Lakeland; Pvt. Roy Max [BROWN], Ft. Knox, Ky; several nieces and nephews and aunts and uncles. The father and one brother preceded him in death. Funeral arrangements are pending at the Foster & Good funeral home.1 
Death*He died on 10 August 1960 at Lakeland, Polk, Florida, at age 26.1

Survivors include his wife; one son, Albert [CHALK], near Macy; six grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; one brother, William [CHALK], of Scott county; and one sister, Mrs. Blanche RANNELS, Swayzee. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1:30 p.m. at the Ditmire funeral home in Fulton with Rev. Paul MAST officiating. Burial will be in the Fulton cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.1

Survivors include his wife; four children, Harold Hopkins and Mrs. Pauline Wilson, of the home, Mrs. Mary L. Edwards, 4534 S. Handley, and Nadine Hopkins, 1537 S. Water; a brother, Jim, Enid, Okla; six sisters, Mrs. Ethel Cline, Houston, Tex., Mrs. Anna Kelley, Moorpark, Calif., Mrs. Dosha Glazier, Independence, Mo., Mrs. Pearl Dorothy, Kansas City, Mo., Mrs. Minnie Goodwin, 222 Ida, and Mrs. Leta Dewey, Oklahoma City, Okla; and 10 grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 pm. Tuesday at West Douglas Church of Christ. Louis Tandy, pastor, will officiate. Burial will be in Wichita Park Cemetery. Culbertson Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.2

She had been ill one week following a coronary attack. The Rev. Norman NIGHTENGALE officiates at the service. Born Nov. 7, 1918 in Kosciusko county, she was the daughter of Amos and Mary SIMISON HOMAN. She had lived in the Akron-Macy area 30 years. She was married April 9, 1939 to Glen NORMAN, who survives. Mrs. Norman was a member of the Gilead United Methodist church and the WSCS of the church. Surviving with the husband are a son, Larry [NORMAN], Rochesrter; a daughter, Mary [NORMAN], at home; two brothers, John [HOMAN], South Whitley, and Carl [HOMAN], Silver
