On 11 September 1802, Patty Curtis was accepted by experience as a member of the Padgett's Creek Baptist Church and Union County Baptist Association. Moses apparently did not join the church, based on the absence of his name from these and later minutes.⁵

Patsey (Patty) (?) died between 1804 and 1809 at Union, South Carolina; Moses appears to be widowed in 1810.¹
