He was born on July 16, 1908, in Overton County to the late Lee and Betty Green Curtis. Mr. Curtis was a school teacher, banker and farmer. He was a member of Dodson Chapel United Methodist Church. His family includes his wife, Wilkie Curtis of Rickman; a son and daughter-in-law, Charles and Sharon Curtis of Rickman; a daughter-in-law, Carolyn Curtis of Cookeville; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Gary Curtis. Revs. Jackey Wheeler and Comer McGuire will officiate at the services. Lela F. Harville.7

Family and friends often enjoyed country meals she prepared.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Russ Cyphers (whom she married April 17, 1948, in Dayton, Ohio); two daughters and sons-in-law, Cindy and Danny Lewis and Melanie and Randy Porter; her grandchildren, Paige Porter and Christopher Lewis; and a sister-in-law, Nancy Curtis, all of Cookeville. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, David Curtis, and an infant brother. Pallbearers will be Danny Lewis, Randy Porter, Christopher Lewis, David Curtis, Bradley Curtis and Bryce Curtis.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dodson Chapel United Methodist Church, c/o Rev. Jeff Cotterman, 303 Midway Subdivision Circle, Rickman, TN 38580. Rev. Jeff Cotterman and Rev.
